The most inclusive view of the Document System is located in the Tools feature of iMIS. From Tools, select Document System to display the Document System window. This window has a toolbar at the top and three areas below:

The Document System window also appears from within tools for locating objects relevant to that tool, although the window contents might be filtered to show only the folders and objects that are relevant to that tool.
■ The left pane is the document tree area, which displays all folders that are relevant to the context in which the Document System is displayed.
■ The right pane is the folder contents area, which displays the contents of the folder that is selected in the document tree area. Folder contents can comprise definition objects, subfolders, or links to items that are located in a different folder.
■ The bottom pane is the summary area, which summarizes the basic properties of the item that is selected in the folder contents area. To show or hide the summary area, select Organize > Display Summary.
